I love words. Just about anything you want done with them, I can do. I've done a ton of health writing and editing (fact checking, copyediting, content editing, proofreading) for both print and online. I'm no stranger to blogs and e-newsletters and adore writing features. I'm especially interested in health/medical/nutrition and entertainment/pop culture writing, as well as writing for children, singles, women, people who like arts and crafts (I do!) and Southerners. I live in the Los Angeles area, having moved here from Colorado Springs. (Mississippi's my home though.)

As the son of a shrink, my childhood was full of self-examination, which seems excruciating for most people, but helped me to be a good communicator and goaded my interest in the persuasive power of the written word. I balance jobs in both cross-platform copy writing for high-profile entertainment, luxury and womens' retail clients and also as a journalist who contributes articles and essays on contemporary art, architecture, urban planning and travel for The New York Times, GOOD, Monocle, The Advocate, Out, Purple and Next American City, among many other publications. I also possess significant experience as a Managing Editor for contemporary art books and publications.
